Community colleges are unique institutions. As multifaceted as the ages and interests of their students, they react swiftly to change. As the first locally sponsored community college accepted into the State University of New York, Jamestown Community College has been in the forefront of this exciting development in education since 1950.

By providing high quality transfer programs for the universitybound, occupational skills for the career-minded, flexible schedules for working students, and specialized programs for business, industry and professional groups, and by being the cultural center of the community, JCC attempts to reach every segment of the population in the area it serves.

JCC offers the first two years of a bachelor's program, awarding the Associate in Arts degree or the Associate in Science degree, which are transferable to four-year institutions. For those pursuing a twoyear career degree, it also awards the Associate in Applied Science degree as well as one-year certificates. In addition, JCC offers a variety of non-credit continuing education courses for those wishing to expand their vocational proficiency, to enrich their personal lives, or to acquire additional knowledge simply for the fun of it.
